When Plans Fall Apart… & Purpose Steps In
Our branding shoot was supposed to be straightforward. We had a plan, a location, and had done the work to prepare—including making sure our daughter Laila’h, who has complex medical needs, was ready to go.
Then, with just an hour to spare, it all fell through.
If you’re a parent, especially to a child with special needs, you understand, this wasn’t just an inconvenience. It was a gut punch. But instead of sitting in frustration, we pivoted.
Phyllis called Trey Watson with Prosper Productionz . And on a Friday evening, with no prep and no hesitation, he simply said, “I got you.” That moment set the tone for what would become one of the most powerful branding experiences we’ve ever had.
We were already meeting Lee Valentine with Lee Valentine Art, the incredibly gifted artist we commissioned to paint a portrait of us for the RPM Regions office. So when Trey and Lee arrived at the same time, it felt like divine timing.
What followed was more than a photoshoot. It was a moment of reflection.
We were seen.
Not just as business owners. Not just as a brand. But as a family.
As a couple navigating legacy, leadership, and love with a daughter who continues to defy the odds.
Trey captured the laughter, the pauses, the chemistry, the heartbeat of who we are. As a power couple navigating business and family, moments like these are rare and deeply meaningful.
Trey captured the laughter, the pauses, the chemistry, the heartbeat of who we are.
He understood the nuance of what it means to show up with intention, to see a family not as a marketing image, but as a living mission. Every photo felt layered with meaning—each frame spoke of resilience, partnership, and love.
And Lee delivered a portrait that stopped us in our tracks. Bold. Vivid. Unapologetically us.
His work didn’t just fill a wall, it filled a space in our journey that needed honoring. The portrait captures the weight of everything we’ve built and everything we’re building toward.
We ended the night at Muse Pizzeria, just a short walk from our office. But it felt like more than dinner—it felt like celebration. Like alignment. Like community. We sat across from Trey and Lee, not as clients and creatives, but as people who had come together for something much greater than any of us expected.
Because the truth is, the brand isn’t just the logo, the name, or the photos. The brand is this moment. It’s being flexible when things go wrong. It’s building something real—through faith, love, and relentless commitment to your mission.
So here’s what we want you to know:
At RPM Regions, we don’t just manage property. We build something bigger.
We build partnerships. We build legacy. We build an ecosystem.
And after last night, it’s official, Trey Watson Photography and Lee the Artist are part of that ecosystem. Not because they did a job, but because they showed up with heart, talent, and purpose.
If you’re a fellow business owner, take this as a reminder: when you lead with purpose, the right people always show up. Even when plans fall apart.
Stay tuned for the full photo reveal, the portrait installation, and more from behind the scenes. This was only the beginning.
